Acer unveiled a host of new laptops and All-in-Ones (AIO) based on the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors at this years’ CES. These included two new models in the Swift X lineup, that come with discreet GPUs for a thin and light design.
These new models come in 14-inch and 16-inch screen sizes, and feature a light and durable aluminum chassis. The design has been tweaked to include a fan, and air inlet keyboard and dual heat pipes to help dissipate the heat generated by this hardware.
The 16-inch model gets double the cooling with dual fans, and a bigger side exhaust port. Other than this and the larger screen size, both models look pretty identical, with a 16:10 display that boasts up to a 92.22% screen-to-body ratio and up to 400-nit brightness. These IPS displays are available at a resolution of 2240×1400 for the 14-in model and up to 2560×1600 (WQXGA) for the 16-in model.
Both displays provide 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut, and can even further enhance image quality thanks to features like Acer BluelightShield, Acer ExaColor, and Acer Color Intelligence.
The setup is powered by 12 core Intel 12th gen processors, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti. Add in 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory and 2 TB of PCIe SSD storage to finish off the setup. This is more than enough power for most use cases. You can always supplement everything through the variety of connectivity options, which include Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), two Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 (up to 40 GBs) support, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0, and a fingerprint reader, and more.
Even the FHD webcam delivers enhanced performance, with the help of Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) technology for high-quality imagery even in low-light conditions, and Acer PurifiedVoice with AI Noise Reduction for clearer com-calls. These features and more make these great laptops for almost any type of user.
