With its selfie-friendly vari-angle screen, easy-to-hold body grip (or optional GP-VPT2BT grip), user-friendly key and control arrangement 11, and recording indicator on the front face of the body, the ZV-1 II enables a variety of filming techniques. A new red frame that stands out visibly on the monitor display makes it clear when recording is taking place. A USB Type-C port makes power charging simple. For the camera body, recycled materials, such as SORPLAS, are actively utilised, minimising environmental effects without losing functionality. For individual packaging, Sony uses their own “Original Blend Material” made from recycled paper, which is simple to recycle and does not utilise plastic. It is premium and eco-friendly, made from resources like bamboo, sugar cane fibre, and recycled paper gathered from the market.

To meet the demands of vloggers, the camera features a Cinematic Vlog Setting function. The camera offers a selection of five LOOKs and four MOODs to enhance the visual style of the videos. Furthermore, the camera supports ten preset Creative Looks, catering to different creative preferences and offering pro-level imaging features. For optimal exposure and enhanced filming quality, the camera incorporates Face Priority AE and Soft Skin Effect. The system detects faces and adjusts exposure to optimize facial brightness, regardless of lighting conditions. The Soft Skin Effect smoothens skin and facial features during filming, adding a touch of refinement.
To facilitate product review videos, the camera offers a Product Showcase Setting that enables smooth focus transitions from the user’s face to the highlighted item. This feature streamlines the shooting process and enhances the presentation of products. Additionally, the Active Mode electronic image stabilization compensates for motion, enabling stable content capture while walking or in motion.
