All About Dubai Cosplay Championship
Cosplay aficionados can display their imagination and commitment on May 3rd at the Cosplay Catwalk, which is available to all ticket holders. In a just thirty seconds, contestants will have the opportunity to present their outfit and act out their role to impress the judges, who will select three winners. A vivid gathering of video game characters will take place on May 4 at the Dubai Cosplay Championship, where they will compete to win prizes in three categories: kids, craft, and performance. This is a great match that shouldn’t be missed. At the newly designed family zone for 2024, families will have the opportunity to bond over gaming fights and spend an unforgettable time together.
Online Battles & Challenges
This DEF, gamers are invited to participate in a variety of thrilling online contests as part of a citywide celebration. Players will compete in League of Legends, Fortnite, and PUBG Mobile during the GameCentric Ramadan League. Players of PUBG Mobile will compete against one another from March 27 to 30 to win from a total prize pool of AED 3,500. On April 11–14, gamers will compete in the last Ramadan competition, which will include an exciting League of Legends match with a total prize pool of AED 6,000. Please visit GameCentric to register.
Gamers may also participate in the UAE PC Cafe Master Cup 2024, which will feature thrilling competitions with an AED 15,000 total prize fund held in eight cafes throughout the city. Attendees of PC Cafes will participate in 5v5 Valorous qualifying in locations throughout Dubai as a new event for 2024. Then, in an exciting championship match, the qualified teams from each café will square off to determine which is the best PC cafe in Dubai.
Upcoming School Competitions
Students can hone their digital abilities in the Microsoft MakeCode Competition and the Minecraft Education Challenge, which will culminate in an exciting live tournament on May 1st and 2nd, inspiring the future generation of gaming experts in the area. Aspiring young gamers can improve their skills and gain industry insights by attending industry expert talks at schools and universities. Additionally, students can participate in exciting in-school tournaments where they can play popular games like Fortnite and Rocket League, with university students competing on EAFC 24 and Valorant. Students and staff have the opportunity to showcase their creativity on April 26 by dressing as their favourite video game characters at school for DEF Gamers Day. Students will get a first-hand look at GameExpo on May 1st and 2nd during special school days. There, they can interact with interactive exhibitions, gaming showcases, and live tournament finals. Students can still register for the university competitions through GameCentric since the DEF registration is still open. For the first time, a free half-day session featuring an exciting, engaging, and instructive programme for students will be offered by Google Gaming Day on April 25 at American University in Dubai. This event brings together leaders from the government, industry, and Google gaming.
