Rewards
In the esports sector, successful clubs are required to have a proven track record, a long-term plan, the ability to develop teams in one or more Esports titles, and the capacity to interact with a worldwide fan base. A yearly six-figure payment will be awarded to clubs that are admitted into the programme and demonstrate competitive brilliance, garner the greatest amount of viewing and foster social engagement in the run-up to and during the World Cup.
Advantages
With this incentive, the Clubs will have a long-term chance to make the most of their World Cup involvement, contingent on their competitive results and capacity to expand their global esports fan base. The EWC Club Programme will also help esports clubs realise their long-term goals and act as a first step towards fast-tracking the expansion of the esports industry as a whole. The participating Clubs will be able to build and manage elite squads in a variety of esports games with the help of this incentive, allowing them to accrue points for the Club Championship. The Programme does not ensure that any club will compete in the Esports World Cup. Every club that wants to compete will still need to earn a position in the competition for each game by qualifying through the usual means.
When and where
Today marks the start of the EWC Club Program’s open application period. Before the deadline of February 15, 2024, esports clubs worldwide are urged to apply at ewcclubprogram.com. There will be 28 clubs in total that can participate in the EWC Programme: 22 via direct invitation and 6 via open application. Every club is welcome to compete in the Esports World Cup. Points will be awarded to individual teams fighting for their club according to how well they perform in every EWC tournament during the eight-week competition and festivities at a festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The highest point scorer after the competition will be crowned the inaugural Club World Champion of EWC and will receive a portion of the enormous Club prize pool, which will be revealed shortly.
