Team Selection
The teams were chosen through fan voting and some direct invitations. The PMWI Main Tournament will then start on July 14 and go through July 16 with 16 teams competing, including teams who qualified from their respective regional championships, the top 5 PMWI Allstars Stage teams, and other teams that were directly invited.
Gameplay
The PMWI Allstars Stage, which pits 18 of the most well-known teams in the globe against one another for three days of intense battle, will open the 2018 PMWI action on July 11. 14 teams will be chosen through the PMWI Allstars Vote, which will be held in-game from May 26 to May 30. Four teams that PUBG Mobile specifically invited will join each of these squads: one each from South Korea, Japan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a special invite. The top five teams from the Allstars Stage will not only compete for honour but also advance to the PMWI’s Main Tournament.
Advance Stages
The PMWI Main Tournament, which takes place from July 14 to July 16, will pit the top five PMWI Allstars teams against each of the four PMPL regional champions, the top two PMSL SEA teams, China, Japan/South Korea, Saudi Esports League Champion Twisted Minds, and one special invite. A total of 16 teams will compete.
Rewards
The most popular and successful PUBG Mobile Esports teams will compete in an exciting summer tournament for a chance to win the largest share of the $3,000,000 prize pool and the title of PMWI Champion. Gamers8 is the largest esports and gaming festival in the world, taking place in Riyadh from July to September 2023. The festival, which has a $45,000,000 total prize pool and features 300+ tournaments across 11+ titles, will feature concerts by well-known international musicians as well as thrilling opportunities from fan favourite esports teams.
