Features
Dyson air purifying headphones will have two models, Standard and Direct. The Zone’s distinctive vizor, as well as a specific sleeve and cleaning brush, are included with both models. The electrostatic filters may be used for up to 12 months before needing to be replaced. The filters have a dual-layer construction with potassium-enriched carbon to absorb ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide. Overall, the filters would trap 99 percent of particles, even those as fine as 0.1 microns.
There will be two colour options for the headphones: Ultra Blue/Prussian Blue and Prussian Blue/Bright Copper. The latter, which is exclusive to the company and will only be sold directly to customers, includes a few extras, including a second electrostatic carbon filter, a soft bag, and an inflight adaptor kit.
Specifications
The 40-millimetre neodymium drivers in the Zone headphones have a noise cancellation level of up to 38 decibels. The MyDyson companion app offers three audio equalization settings: Neutral, Bass Boost, and Dyson EQ. The headphones will initially support Bluetooth 5.0 and the audio codecs SBC, AAC, and LHDC. The Zone’s 2,600mAh battery can deliver up to 50 hours of listening time when it isn’t driving the Visor. Depending on how frequently the Zone’s air filtering function is utilized, battery life will vary.
Battery Life
Battery life is reduced to a modest four hours when the visor is being used at its slowest speed. If it’s not powering the Visor, the battery can provide up to 50 hours of listening time on a single charge. Using the visor at its slowest setting reduces battery life to a modest four hours. Increasing purification speed to the Mid and High flow settings further reduces battery life to two-and-a-half hours and one-and-a-half hours, respectively. Using USB-C charging, Dyson says it will take about three hours to take the battery from 0 – 100 %.
Price & Availability
The new Dyson Air Purifying Headphones will be available for $949. They will be launched in all countries in March 2023.
