This feature was already available to Next users for quite some time, who could go to home.nest.com to get access to the same. But after the purchase of Nest by Google, a lot of systems got reshuffled, especially with the launch of last year's updated camera lineup. Now, Google has created a new place - home.google.com - where you can easily find all your connected devices and their information.
The interface will be officially rolled out next week, and users will be able to access it from their phones, tablets, Smart TVs, and of course, desktops. Once you are logged in, you will see a grid of camera feeds showcasing all live views in full-screen mode. You can single out individual streams or even multiple inputs to search for specific angles.
There are even options for zooming into the footage and getting key information about the camera status, battery condition, and more. You can even turn the cameras on or off, wake up battery-powered models, and view the camera and storage status. You won't be able to sift through old recorded footage without using the proper Google Home app, but for everything else, this is more than enough of an upgrade.
Here is a list of all the devices that are already supported by this new web view and can be viewed and controlled through the new interface.
