x1 extreme gen 4

Today, Lenovo™ announced the latest entrants in its ThinkPad™ and ThinkVision™ portfolios. The reimagined and re-engineered ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 delivers more power, better connectivity and richer configuration keeping in mind the customer demand. With the latest 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i9 H-Series vPro® processors as its powerhouse and available with the latest NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ Laptop GPUs, up to 64GB DDR4 memory along with dual Solid-State Drive (SSD) support, the X1 Extreme Gen 4 also comes with an optional 5G Wireless WAN1 for quicker access to cloud data. With 74 percent companies worldwide planning to permanently shift to more remote working, users need a collaboration experience that is second to none. X1 Extreme Gen 4 delivers in style, thanks to edge-to-edge 16-inch display options up to 4K along with Dolby Vision® support, a new FHD webcam, dual noise-cancelling microphones and a user-facing Dolby Atmos® Speaker System that is 20% larger than the previous generation. All this performance comes wrapped in the legendary ThinkPad rugged package that weighs less the 1.81kg (four pounds)2!

Lenovo is also releasing the ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 and L13 Yoga Gen 2 powered by the latest AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series Mobile Processors. Created to offer value without compromising performance, the L13 series helps users work efficiently with features oriented towards productivity and security. To address new hybrid working styles, they are also launching an all-new ThinkVision M15 mobile monitor that provides second screen flexibility in a highly compact package, and the ThinkVision T24m-20 display and MC50 webcam that together offer a high-quality and affordable video conferencing solution.

The fourth generation ThinkPad X1 Extreme is created to be a powerhouse that delights digital creators and prosumers who require supreme performance for both work and leisure with up to 11th Gen Intel Core i9 H-series processors with optional Intel vPro platform designed to deliver next level performance, protected by ThinkShield for top notch security features, vibrant displays and advanced mobile graphics options. Thin at just 17.7mm and under 1.81kg (four pounds), the X1 Extreme Gen 4 oozes quality with multiple layers of reinforced carbon fiber. Maximum performance needs maximum thermal efficiency so that users can push their creative boundaries without about the concern of overheating. Lenovo engineers created three new cooling systems for the NVIDIA RTX configured variants. A hybrid cooling system that uses both conventional heat pipes along with  a large vapor chamber keeps intense graphics running optimally. An air intake for the keyboard increases the cool air flow through the fans while preserving spill resistance. Last but not least, a dual bypass design allows air to flow over the top and bottom of the cooling system in order to improve thermal insulation.

An outstanding partner for the X1 Extreme is the new ThinkVision M15 mobile monitor. Weighing in at just 860 grams (1.9 pounds)2, the M15 almost doubles the X1 Extreme’s viewing area with an extra 15.6 inches of FHD screen easily connected using a USB Type-C cable which also offers power pass-through for a graceful one cable solution5. It can also connect to a compatible Smartphone with a full-function USB Type-C port.

Whether it be adding a convenient second screen in a home office, or easily sharing content with co-workers in meetings, ThinkVision M15 is suitable for extended use owing to an ergonomic height adjustment stand and TÜV Rheinland® low blue light technology to reduce eye stress. Moreover, it comes with a protective sleeve so it can be conveniently slipped into a carry case with a laptop.

If a larger fixed monitor is needed for a committed workspace, the ThinkVision T24m-20 is not just a 23.8-inch FHD monitor but also an effective one cable USB Type-C docking solution that enables data, video/audio, Ethernet signal transmission and up to 90W power delivery to compatible devices. It also supports more cutting edge functions like daisy chain for a multi monitor configuration and a mirrored power button that can turn on a compatible connected PC. ThinkVision T24m-20 also comes with the Lenovo Display Control Centre software, called ThinkColor, that helps users effortlessly multitask and undertake advanced screen calibrations through single or multi-display windows in a simplistic point-and-click user interface.

Designed to fit any existing ThinkVision P or T series monitor6, the new ThinkVision MC50 Monitor Webcam is perfectly suited to convert the T24m-20 into an affordable video conferencing centre. The FHD 1080p webcam with in-built dual noise cancelling microphones provides excellent audio-visual quality and has a smart traffic light that flashes a red light on top of the webcam when the user is in a conference call, thereby signaling colleagues or family members that the user is “busy”!

The MC50 is easy to use with plug-and-play USB connection, has  tilt and swivel functions so only the camera needs to be repositioned, not the entire monitor, and includes a physical camera shutter along with an anti-theft attachment for extra security.

Lastly, Lenovo is making additions to its ThinkPad L series portfolio with two new entrants powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processors with AMD Radeon™ Graphics and PRO versions available. Increasing productivity with flexible docking options and Modern Standby, the black and silver L13 laptops feature built-in ThinkShield security solutions for additional peace of mind. Enterprise-level biometrics like Windows Hello facial recognition7, a Match on Chip Fingerprint Reader, and a physical webcam shutter and AMD security features, all come together to provide enhanced data and device protection.

The ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 is Lenovo’s first Windows 10 convertible laptop powered by the latest AMD Ryzen Mobile processors. Providing the speed and responsiveness needed for success in today’s work-from-anywhere world, the 13.3-inch L13 Yoga Gen 2 delivers multimode versatility for up to 10.6 hours per day4 with its 46Whr battery. The optional Integrated Pen is designed to work on the touch-enabled display in the familiar ways’ users do, with more accurate write, draw, scroll and swipe functions.

The ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 provides a powerful, enjoyable and secure clamshell laptop experience. With the same core components as the L13 Yoga and up to 10.8 hours of battery life4, the L13 Gen 2 is an ideal choice for today’s hybrid work styles.
