Display
The display of the ASUS Strix Monitor is a 49-inch ultra-wide curved screen that has a 32:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 5120 by 1440 pixels. The display appears to be two 27-inch 1440p monitors that have been perfectly integrated. Due to the monitor’s 1800R curvature, which wraps the display around the edge of your field of vision, you can see everything perfectly.
The massive screen also supports adaptive sync for VRR from both AMD and NVIDIA systems, mostly integrated with VR headsets, which results in a rather high refresh rate of 165Hz. Additional features include factory calibration with dE 2 and a wider colour gamut with 125% sRGB coverage.
Connectivity
There are several options for communication in the ROG Strix, including DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, USB type-C, USB data ports, and even an Ethernet connector. The XG49WCR may also serve as a laptop dock thanks to its integrated RJ45 connector, which enables network connectivity through a single USB-C connection. The USB type-C interface supports a reverse power supply of 65W. By accepting a display signal and linking you to the accessories you have linked to the built-in USB hub of the display, it will charge your laptop while also accepting a display signal.
Features
A Smart KVM switch built into the display enables the user to quickly switch between two connected devices using a keyboard and mouse. The ROG Strix XG49WCR uses Smart KVM to automatically switch control from one computer to the other when you move your cursor from one side of the screen to the other, doing away with the need for manual switching.
Price & Availability
The ASUS ROG Strix Monitor will be retailed at an expected price of $1285. There is no information as to when it will be available, but we can expect more details very soon.
