Oryon Processors
In 2023, we will see the introduction of the Oryon processor, which will eventually replace the Kryo processor that has been in use since 2015. The Oryon line is designed to be used in a wide range of devices in the near future. As the firm has opted to publish more details on this processor at a later date, this is all the information we currently have.
Compatibility
The new Qualcomm Oryon processors will remain compatible with the Snapdragon architecture without any issues. Keeping a healthy balance between power and efficiency is at the heart of Qualcomm's approach to connected computing, which includes bringing fast and reliable performance to Windows PCs. In announcing Oryon, Qualcomm said that 5G and AI performance would be top priorities for the new CPU. All future Snapdragon-powered mobile devices will have this CPU.
Comparison With Apple
Macs and iPhones already employ Apple's custom-designed M and A family of processors. These processors are very quick when it comes to completing chores, booting computers, or utilizing any program. As far as performance goes, the Snapdragon family has been working hard to catch up to Apple's processors in terms of process optimization. Since Qualcomm hasn't exactly made a public announcement about how its processors stack up against Apple's, we can only hope that they're more efficient.
Availability
In 2023, consumers will have access to Qualcomm's next-generation Oryon CPUs. It is anticipated that these CPUs will first be launched on PCs before making their way to Smartphones. There is, however, no evidence to suggest which smartphone manufacturer will adopt these CPUs first.
