With the introduction of its largest capacity card ever, a 1TB SanDisk microSD card for Nintendo Switch systems, Western Digital has increased the range of SanDisk microSD cards bearing the Nintendo trademark. As part of an official licencing agreement with Nintendo, this supersized SanDisk microSD card offers the greatest capacity available, providing Nintendo Switch users even more room to carry their favourite games with them wherever they go.

The Collaboration With Nintendo

The new 1TB card, which is compatible with all Nintendo Switch systems, features the Hylian Crest, which was inspired by the video game The Legend of Zelda. Players will be able to increase their digital game collection and store their favourite games in one location thanks to the new capacity, which roughly doubles the amount of storage previously available in the selection of SanDisk microSD cards that have been licenced by Nintendo. Fans of The Legend of Zelda, in particular, can relax knowing that they will have the room they need to tackle the series’ thrilling new instalment, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Availability

Starting in June, the 1TB SanDisk microSD card for Nintendo Switch will be sold at retail prices through a few Western Digital stores, online retailers, and Western Digital’s website.

A new 64GB SanDisk microSD card designed in the style of Yoshi is also joining the Nintendo-licensed lineup for Nintendo Switch enthusiasts seeking a modest increase in storage. Starting in June, it will be sold at a limited number of Western Digital stores, online retailers, and retail locations.
