Razer Announces the New Razer Blade 17 at CES 2022

Razer just had their turn at the CES 2022 show, to showcase the latest products they will be bringing to the market in the coming months and years. They kicked off the event with a bang, by announcing updated versions of their Razer Blade series of gaming laptops. These updates included a refresh to the massive Razer Blade 17, which is a full-fledged entertainment center that comes with a body that is almost twice as slim as most of its competitors in the gaming laptop market.

This is made possible by the use of a CNC-milled aluminum chassis that features a lot of high-quality custom components. The computer-based design features a refreshed keyboard design, with slightly larger keys for a better typing experience. They even refined the hinge design to create a thinner profile, while still finding a way to add additional ventilation through convenient cooling airways created through 3D modeling.

The specialized body houses the latest generation of CPU’s and GPU’s, with the option to get the 12th Gen Intel Core H-Series Processors, and NVIDIA 30-series GPUs. You can go up to an Intel Core i9-12900H, paired with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a pair of M.2 SSDs. You get Windows 11 pre-installed, with special gaming benefits like DirectStorage, Xbox GameBar, and Xbox Game Pass.

The IO is decent for a laptop this size, with USB-C, USB 3.0, HDMI 2.1, UHS-II SD card reader, and much more. The package is finished off with a pair of THX-certified Spatial Audio speakers. All of this is powered by a fairly large 82WHr internal battery, which is charged with a GaN-powered 280W charger. Since it is a high-speed charging system, it is protected under a new extended battery warranty of up to 2 years, for better ease of mind.

Although you will have to shell out a hefty $2,699.99/2,999.99€ MSRP to get that peace of mind, along with a top-tier entertainment and gaming laptop.
