Philips Fidelio T2
The Philips audio devices feature a compact and lightweight body that is designed to fit snugly in your ear and remain in place even during intense workouts. The body is made from scratch-resistant plastic, which also features IPX4 protection against water splashes, so you can wear it even while sweating profusely in the gym. The earphones feature a soft tip that is painted in the same colour as the body and features multiple sizes to fit different types of ears.
Sound Quality
The wireless earphones feature decent-quality sound output that is well-balanced and offers a good listening experience for a variety of music types. You can control the sound output via the app and change the settings to get your preferred musical output. The sound is supported by support for the latest Sony LDAC technology, which allows you to transmit hi-res audio at a maximum bit rate of 990kbps.
This is as close as you can come to a true lossless listening experience while still featuring such a compact size. The device even features special software tuning that dynamically adjusts the bit rate based on the network speeds and connection stability. The body also hosts three microphones per ear to make it easier to listen and talk using Bluetooth calling and voice control features.
Active Noise Cancellation
In addition, to making audio calls sound a lot better, the triple mic array on each side helps deliver high-quality active noise cancellation capabilities. The microphones capture sound from your surroundings as well as from inside your own ear to make the necessary adjustments that hide white noise and other distractions.
The special thing about this particular model is that it uses a special type of ANC system that makes use of bone conduction technology to reduce wind noise around the ear. So, you get wind protection even when you are not listening to any music and just wish to ignore the noise in your ears while driving.
Battery & Charging
Just like any other true wireless earphones, these models also feature an in-built battery that can be charged wirelessly through the case that holds them. When combined, the package delivers up to 36 hours of uninterrupted listening experience, which is great considering the small size of the device, as well as the inclusion of power-hungry audio technologies. The case itself features a USB-C charging port that can charge both the case and the earphones at the same time.
Price & Availability
The company plans to launch the Philips Fidelio T2 headphones in the second half of the year, which is also when we will get a final confirmation about the price. For now, we can expect them to be priced similarly to the competition.
