The GT series is the performance-oriented sub-brand of the popular Chinese smartphone maker, which is known for its sleek looks, unique paint schemes, and powerful internals that are designed to deliver the best possible gaming experience without compromising on the aesthetics of the device. It seems like the GT Neo 4 will uphold the same tradition, with a mildly refreshed body and massively updated internals.
The smartphone is expected to feature a massive upgrade in the display department, which is rumoured to be getting a vibrant 1.5K OLED panel with at least 144Hz refresh rate support. You can also expect to get the latest HDR 10+ support, as well as 2160Hz PWN dimming for excellent contrast and colour accuracy.
The glass panel itself is expected to be flat in order to minimize the risk of accidental touches registered at the corners while intense gaming sessions. It also helps reduce the cost of the device, as curving a display adds to the complexity of the manufacturing process and its price as well.
On the inside, the GT Neo 4 is expected to feature the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Chances are that by the time this smartphone reaches the market, we might already have gotten the next-generation processor from both Qualcomm and Mediatek. However, the 8+ Gen 1 unit is powerful enough that the smartphone won't become obsolete anytime soon.
Other rumours include the inclusion of a new triple camera array, which will feature either a 108MP main sensor or an even more, high-end 200MP shooter from Samsung. Other units might feature a 50MP ultrawide or even a telephoto or macro sensor. We don't know the exact configuration the smartphone might come with, but chances are that it will support OIS and superfast autofocus.
The package will be rounded off with a 5000mAh battery, which supports up to 100W fast charging. Considering the heat produced while charging at such high speeds while also gaming at the same time, the company will definitely be investing in a robust cooling mechanism that can deal with all the excess heat.
All of this and more will certainly add to the device's price tag, which is expected to cross the $500 mark easily. We don't know what the exact specification and pricing of each individual model will be, but if rumours are any indication, the Realme GT Neo 4 will become a strong contender in both the gaming and flagship killer categories.
