Sony MEA Launches WF-C500 Truly Wireless Earbuds

Sony Middle East & Africa has just announced the latest edition of the WF-C500 earbuds. These earbuds are part of Sony’s Truly Wireless segment, and boast high-fidelity sound, along with a long-lasting battery life, all in a simple and compact body.

The earbuds feature a small and lightweight design, with a pronounced tip that sits snugly inside your ear. The rounded body is meant to sit flush with your ear and naturally conform to the rounded shape of the ear opening. Even though the body is round, the outside surface of the earbuds is pretty flat, for easy control.

It features a soft-touch button that can be used for controlling various settings, such as play, stop, skip, and volume adjustments. You can also access your favorite voice assistant through the in-built microphone, for easy voice queries and hands-free calling.

Despite this versatility, the buttons themselves don’t stand out much, as the aesthetic is meant to be subtle and easy to blend-in with. The charging case matches this understated look, with a smooth and curved design, although it is more cylindrical in shape.

The base of the charger matches the texture of the earbuds, while the translucent lid has a frosted glass texture that makes it stand out from similar charging cases from other wireless earbud brands.

Both the case and the earbuds themselves are supposed to feature a continuous battery life of over 10 hours, which means you can get 20 hours of non-stop listening with both at full charge.

That is more than enough battery life for everyday use, but if you still somehow manage to run through it all, a simple 10-minute charge can get you an extra hour’s work of playtime.

Speaking of playing music, you can enjoy some great quality audio thanks to the presence of a 5.8mm driver unit, which has a frequency response range of 20Hz-20,000Hz. You also get support for AAC codec, as well as Sony’s DSEE Extreme audio upscaling, which restores high frequency sound to create a more authentic experience.

There is also support for 360 Reality Audio, which enables a comprehensive spatial audio experience in supported soundtracks. You can fine tune all these settings and more, through the Sony Headphones Connect app, which is available for both Android and iOS.

The pairing experience for both ecosystems is quite seamless, with support for Android Fast Pair and Swift Pair. In fact, the Bluetooth chip is specially tuned to transmit sounds to both ears simultaneously, for a low-latency, high-fidelity listening experience.

The package is rounded off with an IPX4 water resistance rating, which means splashes and sweat are no problem for the earbuds, thus making them a great option for active users. If you too feel they are a good fit for you, visit your local Sony stores to get the best deal on them.
