The Huawei FreeLace Pro offer a surprisingly impressive audio experience, along with active noise cancellation that you just can’t fault for the price. Add to this sleek design backed up by almost all-day battery life, and that means you won’t go far wrong if you’re looking for a great all-round set of wireless earbuds suitable for just about any occasion.
The FreeLace Pro buds feature a super-comfortable nickel-titanium alloy “memory metal” neckband that has an inline remote with an inventive design. It detaches in the middle to reveal a Type-C USB port. Boasting a 14mm dynamic driver unit and 40dB noise cancellation, these new buds provide impressive audio playback, displaying great clarity and vibrant bass, accompanied by excellent active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. These wireless earbuds from Huawei last for about 21 hours before needing a recharge. These have an IP55 rating which means they’re both water- and dust-resistant.
These elegant-looking FreeLace Pro feature a ‘neckband’ design which allows the in-ear units hang down when they’re not in use. It’s a great design feature, particularly if you’re prone to losing your earbuds. For charging, the FreeLace Pro detaches brilliantly at the inline remote built into the neckband – it splits in two to reveal a Type-C USB connector that can be plugged into a smartphone or laptop. This makes charging on-the-go super-easy. The backs of the earbuds are magnetic, so they can be stuck together when they’re not in use – this automatically cuts the Bluetooth connection from the attached device, saving precious battery life. The earphones weigh just 34g and are finished in a smooth, matte-texture silicone that feels just so lovely. They’re exceptionally comfortable in the ears and the physical touch controls work really well, too.
With clear, natural-sounding playback, these deliver some great audio quality for the price they have been introduced in. The FreeLace Pro boast a 14mm dynamic driver unit, which offers 40dB noise cancellation and we were rather taken by the whole experience. We were truly impressed with how well the FreeLace Pro deliver natural-sounding audio with clear tones and vibrant bass. The FreeLace Pro’s in-ear design and the silicone earbuds provide excellent insulation to block external sounds well combined with the ANC tech. In addition, the FreeLace Pro buds use three microphones for call noise reduction. This is incredible for phone calls as we could hear the person on the line far more clearly, with background noises almost muted and the speaker’s voice projected into our ears.
These actually go on for just under a day’s use on a full charge and can be charged in 15 minutes charge time. The FreeLace Pro last for around 21 hours on a full charge.
All-in-all, these are an outstanding pair of earphones from Huawei, especially for this price. They are an excellent option for those looking for a great set of earbuds that are comfortable and perform well.
