Design
The new ThinkStation PX, P7, and P5 workstations include entirely new, ground-breaking chassis designs, cutting-edge thermals, and BMC capabilities for simplified remote system monitoring. These next-generation workstations are designed to support a wide range of hybrid work scenarios, including virtual reality, mixed reality, and virtual production, as well as machine learning, data science, computer-assisted engineering, reality capture, and artificial intelligence. The new ThinkStation chassis was jointly designed by Lenovo and its client Aston Martin, a renowned high-performance automaker and market leader in the ultra-luxury automobile segment, to create this trio of workstations. All three of the new workstations also have front access drives for simple maintenance and upgrade options, as well as an inventive, modular design.
ThinkStation PX
The Lenovo ThinkStation PX, the company’s highest-end, flagship workstation device, achieves extraordinary levels of power and performance. The ThinkStation PX, which is rack-optimized, provides the versatility required for both desktop and data centre scenarios, making it possible to switch between the two with ease. The most recent 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, which offer up to 120 CPU cores and boast a 53% average performance boost over the previous generation 2, power this adaptable new workstation. The ThinkStation PX also supports up to four dual-slot NVIDIA RTXTM 6000 Sixth Generation GPUs, enabling users to carry out the most complicated workflows present in modern workplaces, such as creative finishing and CAE simulation. This new desktop workstation offers flexibility for multi-user virtualization in hybrid workflow environments, whether in the data centre or carpet clusters beneath the desktop. It has up to 2TB of DDR5 memory and ultra-fast bandwidth with PCIe Gen 5 lanes. Moreover, this workstation includes an optional redundant power supply and an effective 1850W PSU.
ThinkStation P7
The ThinkStation P7 comes equipped with the most recent Intel Xeon W processors, providing up to 56 cores in a single socket, for the increased power required to take on compute-intensive, multithreaded workloads head-on. The ThinkStation P7 is also rack-optimized for usage in a range of desktop and data centre applications in a 4U enclosure, surpassing the most demanding performance and reliability problems of workloads that previously relied on servers or cloud resources. The ThinkStation P7 is perfect for content creators, architects, designers, engineers, and data scientists that want unmatched graphics, visualisation, real-time rendering, CAE, and AI performance since it supports up to three dual-slot NVIDIA RTXTM 6000 Sixth Generation GPUs. It is capable of handling the most difficult tasks, from complicated video production and rendering workflows to computational fluid dynamics analysis and car styling.
ThinkStation P5
The ThinkStation P5, a workhorse desktop workstation, has been updated to meet users’ demands for higher levels of performance, IT expandability, and ease of management in the corporate. It is built for a wide range of industry verticals. The newest Intel Xeon W CPUs, which offer up to 24 cores, the latest chassis design, and compatibility for up to two NVIDIA RTX A6000 professional graphics cards are all included in the next-generation workstation. This workstation, which is ideal for engineers, designers, and artists alike, excels in compute-intensive applications like BIM, complicated 3D CAD, reality capture, GIS visualisation, visual effects, and edge deployments. It is also excellent at solid modelling.
