The Gameplay
The Resident Evil series is renowned for its challenging survival gameplay, in which players must negotiate perilous landscapes filled with zombies, monsters, and other supernatural dangers while solving puzzles and gathering resources to survive. The Resident Evil franchise has established itself as a mainstay in the video game industry and a fan favourite thanks to its compelling narrative, endearing characters, and exhilarating gameplay.
The New Remake Demo
Capcom is renowned for its superb recreations of the Resident Evil franchise. They received appreciation for their prior remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, which were released in 2019 and 2020, respectively. The GameCube version of Resident Evil 4 marked a turning point in the series by shifting away from the usual puzzle-solving and atmosphere focus and towards an action-oriented gameplay approach. The game offered a novel over-the-shoulder viewpoint that quickly became the norm for action-horror games of the time, and its legacy can still be felt in contemporary games, such as the remakes of RE2 and RE3.
In the new Chainsaw demo, players follow Leon, the main character, on his quest to look into the disease that is spreading over a small Spanish community. This is the beginning of the game. Players are encouraged to explore every corner of the demo at their own time because there is no deadline to finish it, unlike other game demos.

In the meantime, the Chainsaw Demo is now playable for free on the PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
