Design
Corsair has created a flashy new docking station with a sturdy and confident design. It weighs around 0.4 kilograms, is somewhat rectangular in form, and is 222 x 83 x 25 mm. The body of this gadget is made of aluminium for the same reasons it is so light: it is strong and corrosion-resistant. The rectangular gadget has rounded corners, and the company’s emblem is centred on it. The logo stands out sharply against the body colour. There has been no mention of any additional colour.
Connectivity
In addition to the Docking Station itself, the box contains a 150 W power brick, a 1 m (3.3 ft) USB-C to DisplayPort cable, a 0.8 m (2.6 ft) Thunderbolt 4 USB-C to USB-C cable, and a 1 m (3.3 ft) USB-C to HDMI cable. The product has a warranty that covers it for two years.
The company claims that there is no need to install any extra drivers in order to make this Dock compatible with a Windows computer, a Mac, or a Chromebook and that this can be accomplished with ease. When it comes to adding more electrical gadgets to your system, this will be of tremendous use to you. This is a fantastic piece of hardware since it enables a broad variety of connection ports, all of which will be covered in the next section.
Ports
When connected to your computer, the device gives you access to 10 more ports. Connecting it to your computer using one of the available Thunderbolt 4 connections will get you access to three USB-C outputs with a maximum transfer rate of 40 Gbps per port. This item’s SD Card Slot, 3.5 mm audio connector, and a 2.5 GB ethernet port ensure that you may use it with almost any high-speed network.
Data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps may be achieved using a 15-watt USB-C connector, with the same throughput achievable via three 7.5-watt USB-A ports. The Dock can be charged at up to 96W and can even transmit power to other gadgets that are plugged into it. By adding a Kensington security slot, your dock may be safeguarded from theft in yet another method. Using the included USB-C to HDMI and DisplayPort cable adapters, you may link the device to a pair of 4K HDR monitors.
Price and Availability
This Dock, which has several different inputs, is now selling for $339.99. It is widely available in a variety of web shops. However, it is yet to be made widely available in both online and brick-and-mortar retail outlets. Until then, however, you can see whether it’s still available for purchase.
