Design
The Archer BE900 Router has an innovative and stylish design. Black is the only colour option, and that's a good thing since it looks great. This gadget has a subtle sheen and a panel of LED lights that light up when it's exposed to light. The router comes with a touchscreen that can be swiped to display the time, the weather, and other statistics. Never before has there been such a touchscreen choice.
Wi-Fi 7 Technology
Wi-Fi 7 (also known as 802.11be) has the potential to be a major advancement for wireless networking because of its potentially much higher peak speeds and improved performance in high-congestion conditions made possible by new features like 4096QAM and support for 320MHz channel width. It offers noticeable enhancements over its predecessors, such as increased throughput and decreased latency, and it supports simultaneous connections to both the 5Ghz and 6Ghz bands through Multi-Link Operation (MLO).
Wi-Fi 7 will be backward compatible with Wi-Fi 6, 5, and earlier devices. However, newer devices are required to take advantage of Wi-Fi 7's increased capacity 320MHz channels (Wi-Fi 6E supports channels as wide as 160MHz).
Compatibility With Older Devices
The Archer supports up to 10Gbps of internet connection speed from your ISP and has twin 5GHz bands that can each support 6Gbps speeds for older devices. The BE900 provides a 10Gb SFP+fiber WAN port in addition to another 10Gb WAN port, either of which may function as a LAN. With the additional four 2.5G ethernet connections, you can easily set up a lightning-fast wired network. The BE900's presale period will begin on December 31st, and shipments will begin in the first quarter of 2023.
Archer GE800 Gaming Router
The new tri-band Archer GE800 Gaming router features a Game Panel that is controlled by an accompanying app and may be used to prioritize gaming traffic over other network activity, which may be of more importance to gamers. Two 10Gb ethernet ports, two 2.5Gb ethernet ports, and four additional gigabit ethernet ports provide speeds of up to 19Gbps on Wi-Fi 7. All of this is housed in a dual-tower antenna glowing with nexus-like LEDs.
Price And Availability
Archer routers come in a variety of configurations, each with its own set of pros and cons and price tag. To put it in perspective, the TP-link Archer BE900 Wi-Fi will retail for close to $700. However, you can only pre-order them beginning on December 31; they have yet to hit stores.
Shipping will begin in Q1 of 2023, but the Router won't be available for purchase until later that year. Accessing one of these routers in a store without an internet connection will take time.
