Design
The Garmin Instinct 2X Solar Smartwatch weighs 67g and has a 50mm dial. Despite being larger, the Instinct 2X Solar features the same memory-in-pixel display with 176 × 176 pixels. The Instinct 2 Solar and the new smartwatch practically have the same characteristics. However, it includes an LED torch that the 45mm model does not. The LED torch can adjust its light output to coincide with your jogging pace.
Features
The torch on the Instinct 2X Solar has a red safety light that can be used to make the user more visible to oncoming traffic and other cyclists and pedestrians. For better visibility at night, it can switch between white and red lights. Additionally, the smartwatch offers enhancements in several areas. Positional accuracy is provided in the GPS and TracBack modes using a new multi-band GNSS sensor. The Garmin Instinct 2X Solar has additional configurable exercise profiles.
Advantages
The Instinct 2X Solar has an advantage over other fitness trackers because of the availability of specific workout profiles for many sports, including cycling, swimming, running, hiking, and strength training. When used in smartwatch mode and out of direct sunlight, it has a gigantic 40-day battery life and 10ATM water resistance. This outperforms some of the major players in the market, including the Apple Watch Ultra (36 hours). The Garmin Instinct 2X Solar can operate in GPS mode for 60 hours without sunshine.
Another Version
There is also the Garmin Instinct 2X Solar Tactical Edition, which has green LED lights in place of red. It has Jumpmaster and Stealth modes for more usefulness. While jumpmaster mode is intended for skydivers, stealth mode allows users to limit the sharing of GPS data. When the Tactical Edition model notices the user has jumped when skydiving, it instantly starts using the barometer and compass.
Price & Availability
The Garmin Tactical Edition Instinct 2X Solar could cost $500 while the Gramin Instinct 2X Solar is priced at roughly $450. Both models will be available on the official website of Garmin for worldwide purchase.
