Design

The 6.56-inch LCD screen of the Oppo A78 5G sports a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. It has a vertical stripe running the length of the back panel and a left-aligned camera module. A flat display with a waterdrop notch is present on the front. The phone has relatively small bezels and a chin that is noticeably thicker. The A78 5G is also IP54 dust and water-resistant, common to all the other Oppo devices.

Specifications

The internal hardware of the Oppo A78 5G consists of an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. For additional expansion, a microSD card slot is also included. Its operating system is Android 13, with ColorOS 13 on top.

Camera & Features

The smartphone boasts a 50MP primary sensor in its dual back camera arrangement. In addition, there is a 2MP depth camera. It has a front-facing 8MP camera for selfies. A 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging capabilities powers the device. Additionally, the budget smartphone gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and 5G connectivity.

Price & Availability

The Oppo A78 5G’s official price is unknown at this time. But it is expected to be somewhere around $230. The details about the international availability of this Oppo smartphone will be known very soon when the product officially launches.
