Design
It features a unique yet simple design, with a light and sturdy body that has been made from special flame-retardant material and various protections against unwanted electrical discharge. They even include a multiple-layer set up to protect against foreign objects being inserted into the body, which can, in turn, result in electrocution. The body itself is about 24% smaller than the similar yet different MIJIA Cube Converter wires edition, which serves a similar function, albeit in a bigger body.
Charging
This smaller, more robust build packs in a charger as well as a power strip, with charging jacks present on all four sides of the device. The sides get one full-size jack each, so you can easily connect different devices at the same time. On the front, you get the power button and the mobile connectors, which include 2 USB-A ports and a USB-C one. The USB-C port and one of the USB-A (A2) ports support 33W wired fast charging, while the secondary USB (A1) port only goes up to 22.5W.
Safety
Depending on what you have plugged in and where, the Cube Converter Pro can easily identify the type of device and its current limit, so it can easily optimize the electrical output to match the specific needs of the machine. This has been done to ensure safety while still delivering close-to-peak charging performance at every given opportunity. This is made possible by the inclusion of high-quality copper alloy, which works great as a conductive structural material while also providing some level of safety and thermal efficiency.
Price & Availability
The Xiaomi Rubiks' Cube Converter Pro is available for sale in China and can be bought from MI or JD websites for a starting price of just $12. The device supports one-key master control and is available with the standard warranty included. The brand will most probably launch it for the international market soon.
