Lenovo, a major player in technology, has recently launched monitors that use LG innovative IPS Black Panel technology, joining companies like Dell in doing so. With support for a wider viewing angle, colour accuracy, detailed expression in low-light situations, and quick response times for IT environments, LG recently created an IPS Black Panel technology that is best suited for professionals. The monitor in focus here is the Lenovo ThinkVision P49w-30 Monitor.

Display

The display size of the Lenovo ThinkVision P49w-30 Monitor is larger than that of earlier generations. The 49-inch curved display on the ThinkVision P49w-30 has a 32:9 aspect ratio. The display’s resolution is 5120 x 1440, and its contrast ratio has been increased to 2000:1. Additionally, it uses a little curvature of 3800R, supports a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and has a maximum brightness of 350 nits. Additionally, the display has a 98% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Features

The ThinkVision monitor has two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces, HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, and Gigabit Ethernet ports. In addition, it also includes two integrated 5W speakers. Given that the display appears to be two 2K (2560 x 1440 pixels) panels side by side, LG may release a normal 2K resolution IPS Black panel display in the coming year.

Price & Availability

In June 2023, the Lenovo ThinkVision P49w-30 display will launch at the cost of $1,699. Soon after its launch, it is expected to reach all the global markets.
