Current Models
The only foldable smartphone running the most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is the Vivo X Fold 2. With its future Magic V2 device, HONOR is purportedly planning to dethrone Vivo from its throne by outperforming it in at least one significant area.
Features
The rumoured Magic V successor will include high-density dual batteries with rated capacities of 2840mAh and 2060mAh each. This means that the total usual capacity may possibly be rounded up to 5,000mAh. The X Fold 2’s battery capacity, on the other hand, is only 4,800mAh.
Competition
However, the top-end Vivo model is also the first foldable to be able to charge at up to 120W, while the Magic V2 may fall short at 66W, although it may make up some ground with 50W wireless charging. Despite its updated specifications, the second-generation flagship is expected to maintain its extremely thin and light design and feature a custom 2K LTPO display, all of which are key selling factors for the X Fold 2.
Availability
All things considered, later in 2023, the HONOR Magic V2 is expected to launch and we can expect more details about the display, design and specifications of this model very soon.
