Instagram New Features Launched

With New Editing Features For Reels

For its users in a few countries, Meta-owned Instagram has added a new gift function and a few editing features. These tools are intended to boost the creativity of platform creators and increase their ability to monetize their work. Let us have a closer look at these new features and updates.

Feed Updates

Every day, young people and producers use Instagram to convey their stories in captivating ways. Reels, as well as other platforms like Feed, Stories, and DMs, are all experiencing this. In addition to highlighting some fresh features that will aid in the development of an active community, Instagram will now draw attention to these many use cases to spark innovation. Creators can now accept presents from customers who use the Instagram presents a feature to make purchases from them. Viewers can buy stars and give presents on Instagram by using them. Then, every month, Instagram will give the users a revenue split from your Reels that received gifts equal to $.01 for each star you obtained from followers.

Reel Updates

A few editing options for Reels have also been released by Instagram in addition to this. Split, Speed, and Replace are a few of these. Users can split a clip into two with the new ‘Split’ tool, and with the Speed option, they can even alter the speed of these clips. The footage can play more slowly or more quickly. Last but not least, the ‘Replace’ tool will let users switch out one clip for another without really altering the timing or sequence of other clips, audio, and other components in their Reels.

GIFs Updates

Users of Instagram can now also upload GIFs in comments on the website, just as on Twitter. It will be kind of a final feature. Users will be able to remark on an Instagram post with a GIF using the new functionality. These animated GIFs will come from Giphy. This comes after the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority forced Meta to sell out Giphy last year. Even after that, Meta still linked Instagram to its Giphy platform.

Availability

Notably, if the function is not yet accessible, it is being phased in and will be available to you soon. Within the following few weeks, this feature will become available to customers in all countries.
