Until now, users who wanted this facility had to rely on the Meta Creator Studio or similar third-party services to access the same, making it harder to manage the day-to-day activities without jumping through multiple apps and interfaces. This was part of the reason why Facebook advertisements were so much more popular initially since users already had a single interface to enable all their favourite features.
But, not that Instagram has overtaken its older sibling in terms of popularity, it makes sense that Meta focuses on bringing it to par with its legacy platform. Especially these days, when social media ads, sponsored posts, and advanced scheduling in the industry norm for influencers and digital marketing executives alike.
With this new feature, users will be able to schedule their posts up to 75 days in advance using a one-click option in the advanced settings menu. This menu will be available in the post-creation interface, from where users can go in and set the exact time and day of their post-publication, in addition to all the other relevant details, such as images, links, and descriptions.
This will make it a lot easier for people to schedule their productive activities and then be free to scroll through the popular social media platform endlessly. All the scheduled posts will appear in the 'Scheduled Content' section, which will show you the post's status and all the relevant information related to it. So far, this feature is in the testing phase only, but we expect the company to roll it out to the general public in the coming months.
