Design
This device’s design has been kept classically simple because the manufacturer is also competing to revive classic game consoles. With the Mini Plus Classic, you’ll be able to unbolt the component from the main unit as an extra customization option. The two joysticks are integrated into the body and will be lost after detachment.
The device’s front panel will have two analogue sticks and other game controls. If you have quick fingers, you can make use of the device’s additional shoulder buttons, which are located on the device’s back and improve the gaming experience.
Specs
Its games will be powered by a 1.8 GHz processor with 1GB of RAM available on the GKD Mini Plus and Mini Plus Classic. No other applications than games will be able to be installed on the device designed for gaming. The screen you get will have a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels, much like the original, recognizable consoles of the 1990s.
If you run out of storage space for your games on the device itself, two MicroSD card slots will be provided for easy expansion. This system incorporates both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wireless communication.
Battery
The device’s battery capacity of around 3,000 mAh should give you plenty of juice for extended periods of time without having to recharge. A USB Type-C cable will be able to power your device’s charging process. Whether or not this will be a fast charger is still up in the air.
Price and Availability
In spite of GKD’s statements that the price would increase to $279, backers on Kickstarter will only have to pay $139 for this device. This console’s availability has not been discussed anywhere. For only $1, you may reserve a game system all to yourself. Only this much is known at this time; no release date confirmation has been provided.
