It features both a single-player campaign and an online multiplayer mode, both set in a fictional Lakeshore City, where you can play as one of two friends who are torn apart when a robbery takes place at a family auto-shop. The characters are then pitted against one another as they undertake the familiar journey of going from a rookie driver to a top racer. In hopes of reclaiming a priceless stolen car, all the while trying to outrun the competition and the cops.
As you progress through the game, you get to go through familiar gameplay options, like street races, drift challenges, police chases, and the classic one-on-one races against boss-level drivers with money on the line. Of course, there are lots of cars to collect and near unlimited customization options for each model. So that you can let your own personal style shine through your rides.
You can race these custom rides against your friends and strangers through the multiplayer mode, which lets you meet up with a growing community of online racers. You can build your own crew, discover new challenges and routes in Freeroam mode, and even take over entire sections of the city. The developers promise a constantly evolving cityscape that will always have something new to offer, with new updates and DLCs.
The whole experience will be highlighted by the amazing graphics, detailed world map, and a special new soundtrack created just for the game. Featuring various real-life artists, including famous rappers A$AP Rocky and AWGE. In fact, the game will act as the stage for the world premiere of A$AP Rocky’s brand new track “Sh*ttin’ Me,” which is teased in the reveal trailer.
A$AP Rocky is heavily involved with this project, not just as a music artist but also as a character. You will find him within the game as a fellow racer you can compete with, with his own special ride that you can take for a spin. You can enjoy all this and more when the game officially launches on December 2.
