Customisation Options
Eight basic settings, ranging from window zooming to switching browser tabs, are pre-programmed on the Command Dial of the BlackWidow Keyboard. Users can also configure the dial with up to 100 Custom Modes, which enables them to map the dial’s clockwise and anticlockwise motion to the desired action.
Users can set up a variety of application shortcuts for everyday use, like timeline jogging, changing the brush size in Photoshop, and more, even while plugged in with other Razer products for gamers. The Command Dial’s colour-coded illumination makes it straightforward to distinguish between each mode and may be used to flip between them with just one click.
Functionality
For convenience, there are five macro keys positioned to the left of the primary keyboard layout. These can be utilised to start up complicated activities that can all be programmed using Razer Synapse or on-the-fly macro recording. The gaming keyboard also features three macro keys along its edge, giving it a total of 8 conveniently located macro buttons. Razer Chroma RGB is used in the BlackWidow V4 Pro to create a completely immersive experience. For a brighter, more vibrant RGB effect, the keyboard has per-key lighting that shines clearly through the transparent switch casing.
Features
Users may synchronise all of their Razer Chroma RGB-enabled devices with one another as well as with other Chroma Connect items from third parties using Razer Synapse. There are more than 200 Chroma-integrated games available for players, where the RGB lighting responds to player actions.
With a choice of Green Clicky switches for tactile feedback or Yellow Linear switches for a silent, smooth motion, the keyboard is equipped with the most recent generation of mechanical switches from Razer, which is also present in the Razer gaming mice. Following additional testing, both switch variations are now rated for up to 100 million keystrokes.
Other noteworthy features include up to 8000 Hz polling rate, removable Type C connections, a sturdy 5052 aluminium alloy top shell, and USB 2.0 passthrough. The keyboard also has factory-lubricated stabilisers and two layers of sound-dampening foam within for better typing acoustics.
