Design
Here’s the thing, these may not be the best-looking headphones on the market but manage to deliver quality and comfort which many good-looking headphones out there fail to. The BH70comes with a case, with a single Velcro band that holds the headphones and a small pouch for the USB Type C cable. The thin layer of memory foam-type material on the headband makes it easier to stay on the head. There’s a sort of plastic-ey feel at the point where the headphones touch the ears, but these are minor hiccups and can be ignored.
The ear cups are designed to rotate by about 90 degrees with an adjustable headband to fit any head size. The earcup cushioning is spot on to mask the entire ear. However, one thing that raises a flag for us is that the BH70 cannot be folded to make it more compact and easier to carry.
Features
Touch controls are replaced by physical buttons for basic functions. The right ear cup has three buttons to play – pause music, volume and skip a track or go to the previous track. The infrared sensor on the headphones automatically pauses music when you take off the headphones and resumes playing it when you put them back on – this is hands down our most liked feature on these superbly user-friendly headphones. The left earphone has the power button which also acts as the Bluetooth pairing button and then there is the ANC button which boasts of three modes – Noise cancellation on, Transparency, and Noise cancellation off.
Overall the wearing experience of the BH70 is quite comfortable which we feel is one of the key functions of a good set of headphones. This allows the user to enjoy long hours of trouble-free and enjoyable audio experiences.
Performance
Coming to the sound quality the combination of AI and ANC, uses its proprietary algorithms to optimize the listening experience that is capable of delivering the sound that gets in tune with what your ears are capable of hearing over time. So basically, the headphones’ audio algorithms adapt to the users' unique hearing condition over time, but there is no clear mention of how much time is required to see the desired results. We couldn’t tell much difference in our short-duration usage, but that may change after prolonged use.
Verdict
One thing is for sure, The PLAYGO BH70 does get several things right here. A good ANC, crisp sound quality and comfortable to use. Not to forget, the long-lasting battery life sure earns these boys some extra brownie points. Overall, I’d certainly see myself owning one of these, for the simple fact that the brand has delivered a good product at a decent price.
