Sony’s integrated PTZ Auto Framing technology with AI analytics, which boosts usability and productivity, is new to this line of high-tech cameras. In order to give users more creative freedom and customisation possibilities, many Auto Framing angles offer well-framed options for close-ups, waist-up, or full-body photos.
With the auto operation, the cameras start looking for and relocating the tracking object as soon as the power is turned on. Facial recognition, which can even recognise disguised faces, is one of a number of sophisticated and reliable detection technologies that are used for the first time, other than many other previous cameras. A new, user-friendly tally light makes it simple for users to determine which camera is currently detecting motions and which is in use.
Image Quality
A highly sensitive Exmor RTM CMOS sensor is used in both the SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 to provide high-quality, naturally vibrant images with less noise in both 4K 30p and Full HD 60p. While the SRG-A12 delivers up to a 12x zoom, the SRG-A40 has Clear Image Zoom technology, which digitally doubles the optical zoom from 20x to 30x in 4K or 40x in Full HD. The SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 both offer up to 24x and 80x zoom in tele convert mode, respectively, while still providing a swift, fluid PTZ movement between cameras. The capture of light and shadows is improved by the camera’s day and night modes.
Installation
The Sony cameras are simple to set up and use for users of varying skill levels and offer straightforward integration and installation. By simply setting up and copying menu settings from one camera to another using the image setting file capability, users may create uniformity and familiarity.
The smooth and quick PTZ movement to a target point at a maximum 170° pan/tilt angle range is made possible by the new models’ PTZ motion sync capability. Pre-set recall enables seamless switching between one camera and other pre-set angles to quickly capture pivotal events. As the camera moves, a picture freeze preset can be used to hold the most recent image in place, preventing fuzzy transition images and reducing distraction.
In order to give professional image quality during web-based meetings, the virtual webcam driver programme can convert up to five connected cameras into collaborative conference and lecture tools utilising a computer.
Price & Availability
The prices of the Sony SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 camera models are not yet known. In June, Middle East & Africa should be able to purchase the SRG-A40 and SRG-A12.
